Choose collabs that make sense for your brand, capture the content properly and agree on money and boundaries before anyone films.
What a good collab looks like for Prosper
We are looking for more than just a fun shoot day. A solid collab usually has:
- A partner whose brand and style sit close to yours or where you want to be.
- Mutual respect around boundaries and what is on or off limits.
- A plan for how content will be used on both pages, not just random posting.
- Clear agreement on who owns footage and how it can be sold.
If these basics are missing, we will usually push to slow down or skip the collab.
Picking the right people to work with
Who you shoot with affects your audience and your long term positioning.
Green flags
- They take their content and schedule seriously.
- Their page is active and has real buyers, not just followers.
- They speak clearly about consent and what they are comfortable with.
- They are happy to talk about money and promo in a direct way.
Red flags
- They push for more than you agreed to on the day.
- They want to be paid but resist talking about how content will be used.
- Their socials are full of drama or public fights with other creators.
- They refuse to put any agreement in writing when the collab is more than a casual selfie.
Agreeing on content ownership and splits
Before you film anything that looks like a scene, we want basic terms in place.
- Who holds the master files.
- Who can post what on which platforms.
- How any joint sales will be split and tracked.
For bigger collabs and scenes we recommend a short written agreement. It does not need to be complicated. It just needs to cover who owns what and how you are both paid.
How we plan a collab shoot with you
A little planning makes the content easier to sell for weeks, not just on the day it goes live.
Confirm the concept, limits and rough looks for the shoot with both parties.
List the key scenes or sets we want. For example, a short free teaser, a mid level PPV scene and a higher ticket version if relevant.
Decide where each piece of content will live. For example, which page holds the main paid scene and which gets the leading promo angles.
Handling consent and comfort on the day
A shoot only works if everyone feels safe and respected throughout.
- Check in before filming starts and set a clear list of no go shots.
- Agree on safe words or signals if anyone wants to pause.
- Allow anyone to call a break without pressure or guilt.
- Review any content that feels close to a personal limit before it is marked for sale.
If you or your partner are not comfortable, we will not push to use that content just because it might sell.
How we turn collab content into real money
Prosper’s job is to take the finished footage and build it into your offers.
On your page
- We use lighter clips or photos for feed and stories to build hype.
- We place stronger scenes in PPV or bundles so they feel special.
- We build DM angles that highlight the guest and the dynamic between you.
With your collab partner
- We set clear timelines for when they can post certain angles.
- We talk about how both of you will mention each other and link back.
- We avoid flooding both audiences on the same day with the exact same content.
Traffic and new fans from collabs
A good collab should create more than just one sales spike.
- We track how many new subs come in around the collab window.
- We pay attention to who sticks and becomes a regular buyer.
- We adjust future shoots and offers based on what actually worked.
If a certain pairing does well, we may suggest a follow up shoot later in the year with a fresh concept.
Protecting your brand during and after collabs
Not every collab stays clean. We have a plan if things go sideways.
- If the other person behaves in a way that clashes with your values, we can slow down or stop using shared content.
- If there are disputes over clips, we keep records of agreements and messages to help resolve them.
- We do not engage in public fights. We protect your brand and income first.
The aim is to enjoy the lift that good collabs bring without tying your whole reputation to someone else.
When collabs are not worth it
Sometimes the best move is to politely say no.
- When you are already at capacity with content and customs.
- When the other creator brings high risk and low upside.
- When the concept would push you well past your own limits.
Your long term earning power matters more than any single scene. Prosper will always lean toward decisions that protect that, even if it means skipping collabs that look exciting on the surface.
